Drivers and License Requirements
The Renter and all additional drivers must possess a valid driving license, either national or international, and must be at least 23 years old and not older than 65 years. A probation license is not acceptable.

Terms of Payment
All payment must be made in advance. AHSB Rentacar Sdn. Bhd. (ARC) accepts the following credit/charge cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express.

Rates Inclusive
Rates are inclusive of unlimited mileage, maintenance, insurance for fire and theft, liability damage to property as a result of an accident.

Excess Fee Clause
In the event of the Renter sustaining any damage to an ARC vehicle whether by collision or other means, the Renter is liable to Excess Fees as follows:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Should damage be sustained, the Renter can choose to pay the CDW and shall not be liable for any excess fee, according to the following rates:

Petrol
Cars are rented out with a full tank of fuel, which is refilled at the Renter's expense on return. ARC's cars either run on unleaded petrol or diesel. Each vehicle is appropriately labeled to indicate the type of fuel usage.

Parking Fees and Traffic Fines
The Renter is liable for all parking fees incurred during the duration of the rental. The Renter is also liable for all parking and traffic summonses incurred during the rental period. An additional fifty Ringgit Malaysia (RM 50.00) administration fee will be charged to the Renter over and above any fine and penalty for any violation arising from the Renter's use of the vehicle. ARC retains the right to charge against the Renter's charge/credit card, if and when any payment is due for traffic offences committed during the rental period, even after the termination of the rental.

Extension of Rental
Should the Renter wish to extend the rental period it should be done as follows: 1. Inform our call center at least 24 hours before the end of the rental period. 2. Arrange for payment in advance to validate the insurance coverage. The Renter would be driving the vehicle illegally and without insurance if the proper documentation is not done. Payment can be done through the internet or a local bank.

Delivery and Collection Services
All rented vehicles that need to be delivered to / collected from a location further than 5 km from Kota Kinabalu will incur a service charge of a minimum of thirty Ringgit Malaysia (RM 30.00) or more, depending on the distance and accessibility of the destination from the rental location.

Surcharge
A sum of sixty Ringgit Malaysia (RM 60.00) will be levied on check-out and collection of vehicles after business hours inclusive of Sundays and Public Holidays.

AHSB Rentacar Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") has an established policy towards the protection of customers’ personal information as explained below, under the understanding that it is an important social liability of an enterprise to be compliant with the Privacy Act and to handle any and all information pertaining to any customer's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. by which such customer can be identified (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information") in a proper manner.

Website Privacy PolicyThe Company will, when obtaining any Personal Information, identify the purpose of use thereof and obtain it to the extent that it is necessary and through a lawful and fair manner. When any customer should contact our "Customer Assistance Center" mentioned below (hereinafter referred to as "CA Center"), any communication will be recorded for the purpose of confirming the details.

1) Within the Purpose of Use - Information Collected

We will never use any Personal Information obtained pursuant to Clause 1 above for any purpose beyond the purpose of use without obtaining the prior consent of the relevant customer.

The Personal Information that the Company has obtained shall be used for the following purposes only:

1. When introducing in a commercial manner any and all goods, services, etc. that the Company provides.

2. When conducting a survey through questionnaire to enable the Company to plan and develop any goods, and/or to study any measure to improve customer satisfaction, etc.

3. When conducting any and all things needed to respond to any enquiries received from any customer, to provide prompt service, etc.

4. For any other purposes identified when obtaining the relevant Personal Information.

5. When required to comply with any provisions in any applicable laws and regulations or to follow any governmental notification and/or guidelines, etc. When the Company should provide information of any customer through a dealer, the Company will provide such dealer with any relevant Personal Information.

6. Upon receipt of any inquiry from any customer by the CA Center and for enabling the Company to take the most suitable measure, to provide the relevant Personal Information if so required to relevant dealer and/or the Company's business partner (collectively hereinafter referred to as the "Third Party") via telephone, in writing and/or through electronics media, etc., provided however, any such Personal Information shall not be provided whenever any relevant customer should so require.

* Items belonging to Personal Information to be provided: Customer's name, gender, address, date of birth, telephone number, and any other information relating to customer's reservation description.

2) Provision of any Personal Information to any Third PartyThe Company shall never provide any and all Personal Information obtained pursuant to the Clause 1 above to any other Third Party without obtaining prior consent from the relevant customer, except for providing the same pursuant to 5 and 6 of the Sub-clause 1), the Clause 2 above, provided, however, that the Company may provide any Personal Information to any of partners to the extent only necessary to achieve the purpose of usage thereof.

Even in such a case, the Company shall request the relevant parties to handle the relevant Personal Information in a proper manner and the Company will control the use thereof by such parties in a suitable fashion.

3) Proper Control of Personal InformationThe Company shall implement safety measures in a suitable manner to prevent any and all Personal Information from being accessed in an unauthorized manner, from being lost, damaged, altered, or leaked, etc. In addition to protect the Personal Information, the Company will endeavour to promote activities including regular training and education to its employees who should handle any Personal Information.

Any customer may, by following the prescribed procedures of the Company, request the Company to disclose any and all Personal Information which has been kept by the Company and belongs to such customer. When any customer should request the Company to disclose its own Personal Information owned by the Company, such customer is kindly requested to address its request to the CA Center. The CA Center will be willing to take care of any enquiries and/or consultations pertaining to any Personal Information, including cases that any customer should request to make any correction to, discontinue the use of and/or delete any Personal Information. In any event, any and all enquires or consultations from any customer shall be handled in compliance with the purports of the Law in an adequate manner.

The Company will attempt to continue improvements in order to observe any applicable laws and regulations and/or any governmental notifications and guidelines so that any and all Personal Information may be handled in a proper manner. Any modification thereof will be reflected in this Basic Policy from time to time.
